This course is for:
staff who need to get results quickly
staff at levels from junior administrative levels to senior executive level.

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
1. analyze their task to
1.1. identify a precise purpose
1.2. understand what their reader needs
2. organize information accordingly
3. design an email to highlight key points and allow quick access to specific information
4. write concisely by omitting redundant and cliched language such as Officialese, Jargon, Gobbledygook, and colloquialisms
5. write clearly by using shorter sentences and simpler grammar structures
6. achieve impact through:
6.1. powerful paragraph and sentence structure
6.2. direct yet polite tone
6.3. precise yet familiar vocabulary
7. build relationships by managing sensitive messages with transparency, accountability and sincerity.



Writing Reports

This course is for:
staff who need to communicate complex information to more senior managers
staff at levels from middle management level to senior executive level.

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
1. analyze their task to
1.1. identify a precise purpose for the report
1.2. understand what their reader needs for the report to achieve its objective
2. organize information so that:
2.1. the most important points are presented first to the reader
2.2. all points flow logically
3. guide their readers from one point to the next and highlight relationships between ideas
4. design their report so that they allow their reader quick access to specific information, including data
5. write clearly by using shorter sentences, bullet points and simpler grammar structures
6. achieve impact through:

This course is for:
staff who need to persuade internal or external readers to buy-in to ideas, services or products
staff at levels from middle management level to senior executive level.

By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
1. identify key benefits of their ideas, services or products
2. organize information so that they:
2.1. grab their reader's attention
2.2. immediately convince their reader
3. support their claims with evidence
4. guide their readers from one idea to the next and highlight relationships between ideas
5. design their proposal so that they allow their reader quick access to specific information, including data

4. using positive and dynamic language
5. writing clearly and concisely.

This course is for:
staff that you identify for training in a specific writing task.

We work with stakeholders to negotiate an approach to writing a specific type of text and to write model texts. We use authentic samples of writing from your organization to design training materials.
